Rebar prices in the secondary market have remained almost stable despite weak demand.
Raipur, one of the largest secondary rebar producers hub in central India, is quite supportive than any other markets owing to better viability in the current market scenario.
In addition, Raipur based manufacturers are also facing power cut on daily basis for few hours from last one week, which is also supporting the market.
Presently, small/medium size manufacturers based in the state are offering 12 mm at INR 23,900-24,100/MT (basic price). While, few premium brands or large size rebar manufacturers are offering the same size material at INR 25,400-25,600/MT.
In west India especially Ahmedabad, rebar prices have reduced by INR 500/MT owing to low buying and current offers are assessed at around INR 29,400/MT (including VAT paid) for 12 mm rebar.
