Indian re-bar prices in secondary market have fallen to almost 2 years low on low demand and over supply according to industry reports. India produces almost 28 million tonnes of re-bar and rods, out of which 70 per cent is being contributed by secondary manufacturers.
Re-bar prices continue to fall and had hit 2-years low. These prices were noticed in July 2011. Chattisgarh, Maharastra and UP has been the leading re-bar producers in India and have been hit the most.
Current prices of 12mm re-bar at
Raipur is Rs 30,600/t,
Mumbai is Rs 32,000/t
Chennai is Rs 35,000/t
Mandi is Rs 36,100/t
