Indian Railways Special Report: Iron Pellet movement down by 27% in Sep

Pellet movement through railways has declined by 27% in September, 2014 as compared to August. Total 60 rakes of Iron Pellet were loaded in the domestic market against 83 rakes in August, according to special report on Indian Iron ore and Pellet movement through railways, managed by SteelMint.

It is noticed that Pellet movement from Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, which has an installed capacity of 9 MnT, has decreased to 8 rakes in September against 33 rakes in August 2014 in merchant market.

However, Arya Iron and Steel with installed capacity of 1.2 MnT pa has supplied 20 rakes of Pellet against 6 rakes in August. Out of 20 rakes of Pellet, Bihar Foundry, Brahmaputra Metallics and Maan Steel have loaded 3 rakes each and rest from others.
