Combined coal stock (Coking, Non-coking & Anthracite) at 16 major Indian ports, which were 11.4 MnT as on 4 Oct, 2014, has increased by 2% against preceding week.
As per SteelMint’s consideration, total coal stock at Indian ports comprises around 2.5 MnT Steel grade coal, which has increased by 1.3% against previous week. However, Non-coking coal stock at ports also upticks by 2% to around 8.9 MnT at the end of week 40.
Nearly, 33,964 MT of Pet coke was stocked at Krishnapatnam & Haldia port, which had imported by Ultratech Cement & Atha Group. Total around 11,000 MT Anthracite laid at Paradip port that belongs to Balasore Alloys & IMFA.
Paradip port had the highest coal stock of around 2.8 MnT, followed by Gangavaram port in terms of volume & stockpile 1.75 MnT. However, Kandla & Vizag ports had stock of around 1.2 MnT & 1.1 MnT respectively. Stock level at Haldia port has increased by 27.5% from previous week and reached toaround 0.54 MnT.
Adani, SAIL & RINL have the highest quantity of coal stock i.e. about 1.3 MnT, 0.5 MnT & 0.4 MnT respectively. While, total stock quantity of JSW is around 0.43 MnT laid at Krishnapatnam, Goa & Mangalore port.
The ports considered are: Dahej, Mormugao, New Mangalore, Hazira, Kandla, Bhavnagar, Tuticorin, Magdalla, Pipavav, Muldwarka, Gangavaram, Haldia, Krishnapatnam, Kakinada, Paradip & Vizag.
