The Indian Petcoke market has stood still since the week last, with domestic prices as well as international offers undergoing no change.
The latest import offer for Petcoke (6.5% Sulphur) from USA is at USD 104-105/MT CFR India; and that for the material (9% Sulphur) from Saudi Arabia at USD 90/MT CFR India. Both the offers have remained unchanged from that in the last week.
Domestic prices in the country also underwent no change. The ex-works prices are at: INR 6,350/MT (Reliance Industries Limited) and INR 6,340/MT (Essar).
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has priced its Petcoke at INR 6,364/MT(ex-works), for customers outside the Karnataka state. And, for the buyers within Karnataka, MRPL has priced the fuel at INR 6,264/MT(ex-works).

Demand has remained moderate as off-take by cement companies was lower on account of the dip in construction activities in the country due to demonetization.
