The chrome ore auction conducted today by state-owned miner OMC received poor response amidst dull demand for ferro chrome. SteelMint reported earlier that the base price for the auction had been reduced by 13%, m-o-m, on falling ferro chrome prices. At today’s auction only 7,800 t out of a total of 35,100 t was booked at the base price, while the rest remained unsold.
