India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market saw mixed trends prevailing on 27 Apr’22, as offers floated by the mid-scale mills varied over a broad range of INR 50-1,000/tonne (t) d-o-d.
Sponge iron and billet prices varied across a wide range of INR 50-1,000/t following a sharp hike of INR 1,000/t in Mandi Gobindgarh’s (northern India).
Also, rebar (Fe 500) offers fluctuated in the range of INR 100-1,000/t across different regions. Prices witnessed a sudden decline in Mandi Gobindgarh and Muzaffarnagar’s makret with INR 1,000/t.
As coal prices continue to remain elevated, suppliers rising offers with satisfactory buying noticed in the market. Rising raw material prices kept offers and trades vacillating today, SteelMint notes.
