Indian Anthracite Coal Market Continues to See Low Imports, Lackluster Demand

Anthracite Coal demand as well as imports remained low as sluggish demand persisted in the country. In contrast, strong demand has prevailed in international regions, especially in Asia.

The latest import offers have marginally gone down from that in the week last. According to a reputed importer, the latest import offer is at around USD 130/MT CFR India, which is lower by USD 3/MT from that assessed last week.

In India, demand continues to remain dull because of the tendency of the buyers to use alternate fuels.
