Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of SAIL, offers about 52,000 MT of Pig iron at INR 20,100/MT ex-works.
The unit is offering 52,835 MT Pig iron (basic grade) for sale till 28 Jan, 2015. It is offering the material at INR 20,100/MT (ex-plant) with discount of upto INR 700/MT (bulk purchase) on ‘As is Where is’, ‘No Complaint’ and ‘First-come-First Serve’ basis by road & rail against 100% advance payment..
Interested participants can buy minimum quantity of 50 MT or its multiple for delivery through road and a minimum of one rake in case of delivery by rail.
The company had previously offered 38,300 MT Basic grade Pig iron on 5 Jan, 2015 at INR 20,700/MT with discount of upto INR 700/MT on purchase of bulk quantity.

Indian Pig Iron Market
Domestic Pig iron market continues to remain dull with less buying and currently being traded at INR 20,000-21,500/MT ex-works. Major manufacturers in Durgapur & Raigarh are offering Pig iron at around INR 20,700/MT & INR 20,800/MT respectively on ex-plant basis. Whereas, a Raipur based Pig iron manufacturer was heard to have sold the material at INR 21,400/MT ex-plant. Pig iron in Southern India is being traded at INR 21,300/MT ex-Vizag and INR 23,000/MT delivered to Hyderabad.
