Steel wire rod trades improved slightly in Raipur, Chhattisgarh after manufacturers reduced offers by INR 1,000/t. Today, around 1,950 t deals were recorded from a few suppliers in the spot market at a price range of INR 52,600-53,000/t exw. However, trade activity is yet to gain momentum as most of the manufacturers have observed weak buying enquiries even at reduced offers of INR 54,000/t exw and trade discounts of up to INR 1,000/t.
