The domestic wire rods market in Raipur, central India, observed improved buying enquiries today and sizeable volumes were sold in the price range of INR 60,500-61,000/t exw, down by around INR 1,000/t from yesterday. Weak sentiments prevailed in the first half today, although after the mills lowered prices buyers started to procure material.
