Steel wire rod trade activities remained limited in major markets owing to weak sentiments in the semis market in northern region. Around 1,500 t of deals were concluded by some Raipur-based manufacturers and traders at INR 50,000-50,400/t exw while 1,750 t were sold by Durgapur suppliers at INR 49,300-49,500/ exw. In Raipur, manufacturers reported slow lifting of the previous booked material.
