Vizag Steel’s dispatch has been hampered owing to improper supply of rake by the Indian railways.
Vizag Steel, a government run and major producer of finished products, is facing dispatch problem owing to poor supply of rakes by the Indian Railways.
Major Impacts
- Supply reduced by two rakes per day on an average, which were three rakes per day earlier.
- Sales volumes were at par in Q1 FY15 against Q1 FY14.
Vizag Steel, also known as RINL, mainly sells its products in the southern region and also focusing in the eastern region.
The company has registered 8% growth in sales with a volume of 3.03 MnT in FY14, which consist of 50% of Re-bar sales. The company is planning to invest around INR 17.24 billion in FY15 and it expects a 45% hike in production during the current fiscal.
