India: SAIL tenders for TMT Conversion Agent at Hyderabad/Chennai

SAIL looks for TMT conversion agent for appointment as Wet-Leasing Agent(s) through tender at/in & around Hyderabad/Chennai.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the largest Steel producers in India, tenders for appointment of Wet-Leasing Agent(s) (WLA) for TMT at/in & around Hyderabad/Chennai.

Tenderer should be a bonafide, resourceful, financially sound person(s)/firm(s)/ company(s) for appointment as Wet-Leasing Agent(s) willing to offer total capacity of their plant as per production requirement of SAIL.

Tenderer must be a well-established using any one of TMT process such as Turboquench, Thermex, Tempcore, Stelmore & Evcon, with a conversion of  48,000 MT min and 60,000 MT max of TMT bars per year (8 mm to 32 mm) at/in & around Hyderabad/Chennai.

Approx 85% of production capability should be in range of 8 mm to 16 mm.

Eligibility

• Tenderer should be a BIS license holder at the time of application and have reputed name
• They should have financially good record during past three years
• They shall have the facility of Spectrometer in its premises for chemical analysis of semis & finished products and facility for microstructure study with photographic facility for analysis.
• They have to offer full capacity to SAIL during tender period. They can’t sell their own brand to anyone

SAIL will supply re-rollable materials to WLAs directly from the nearest plant/unit.
