Vedanta-FACOR held an auction for ferro chrome on 4 August. Both bigger and smaller lots of 10-150mm size were booked at INR 97,300/t and INR 97,100 ex-Jajpur, Odisha, respectively. The auction was well attended as most domestic buyers were waiting for it. Bids were placed higher in line with prevailing domestic offers. According to SteelMint’s assessment on 4 Aug, ferro chrome prices were at around INR 96,500/t exw-Jajpur.
