Vedanta (FACOR) conducted an auction today for 2,000 t of ferro chrome. The entire quantity on offer received low bids, as prices have corrected in the domestic market due to lack of demand, SteelMint notes. The auction was concluded at an H1 price of INR 122,100/t for 1050mm HC ferro chrome. The price difference between fines and lumps was quite high, market participants said. Prices are hovering at INR 120,000/t ex-Jajpur, with reports of some deals getting concluded at slightly lower levels.
