SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge C-DRI (70:30 mix material) in Odisha inched down by INR 200/t to INR 32,800/t exw-Rourkela on 20 Aug’21. Around 1,600 t of C-DRI deals were confirmed in the range of INR 32,700-33,000/t exw. According to sources, dull demand as well as falling billet prices have resulted in a decline in sponge iron prices.
