Portside prices of 6900 kcal/kg NAR coal of US origin rose slight this week at INR 22,400/t at Tuna Port, up by INR 200/t w-o-w. Amid limited stocks, some cement manufacturers secured small parcels ahead of monsoon. Demand from brick kiln manufacturers remained low, as a majority of units opt for shutdown during this period. Imports from the USA are scant, with only 300,000 t of coal set to arrive next week.
