India: US thermal coal portside prices climb INR 1,400/t, w-o-w, at Kandla

Portside prices of US-origin 6900 NAR coal have risen to INR 19,200/t at Kandla, up INR 1,400/t since last week. Demand from cement plants over the last few weeks continues to remain robust, while limited vessel arrivals keep portside stocks under pressure. A total of 0.25 mnt of US coals is set to arrive at Kandla Port till 17 Feb’21, CoalMint data shows.
