Amid limited enquiries from the cement and brick kiln industries, portside prices of US 6900 kcal/kg NAR coal have declined to INR 18,400/t at Kandla Port, down INR 400/t w-o-w. Rising raw material prices continue to keep these industries under pressure amid limited scope of a price hike. Several brick kiln manufacturers were also heard shuttering operations to limit losses, market participants informed.
