In a confirmed deal, 1,500 t of US (6900 NAR) coal was sold at INR 15,000/t at Kandla port today as against INR 16,200/t last week. Prices exclude cess and GST. The recent volatility in global prices has prompted end-users to book small parcels. Only 0.28 mn t of coal from the USA is set to arrive at Indian ports in the 25 Nov-8 Dec’21 period.
