China: Chrome ore imports rise by 5% on month in Oct’21

China’s chrome ore imports increased by 5%, m-o-m, in Oct’21 on rising imports from Pakistan and South Africa. Due to high electricity prices, South Africa was more focused on exporting chrome ore instead of ferro chrome. However, China’s ferro chrome imports decreased by 4%, m-o-m, to 206,620 t in Oct’21 on low buying by the stainless steel mills.
