India: Trade-level HR plate prices edge up w-o-w after mill price hike announcements

BigMint’s weekly benchmark assessment for HR plate (20-40 mm, Gr E250 Br.) edged up by INR 200/t ($2/t) w-o-w to INR 56,400/t ($616/t) as of 5 March 2026, compared with INR 56,200/t ($614/t). The marginal uptick follows recent price hike announcements by the primary mills. Prices are assessed ex-Mumbai for the distributor-to-dealer segment and are exclusive of 18% GST.
