Tata Steel has commissioned an 8 mn t per annum iron ore processing plant at its captive Khondbond mine in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The plant design includes three-stage crushing and screening and two rotary drum scrubbers to reduce the alumina content of the incoming ore, thereby improving the ore quality in order to meet the rapidly growing raw material requirements of the company.
