Tata Metaliks Ltd (TML) has raised its basic grade (Si 1-1.5%) pig iron price by INR 1,700/t to INR 33,700/t ($465), however foundry grade pig iron prices remained unchanged at INR 37,000/t. The prices are ex-plant, Kharagpur, eastern India & are applicable for Kolkata & Howrah market. The company has raised prices on active demand following rise in offers by private plants in Durgapur due to supply shortage on recent export orders. As per SteelMint’s assessment, steel grade pig iron prices in Durgapur have gained by INR 1,800/t, w-o-w.
