India: Supreme Court to hear PIL alleging pellet export duty evasion on 15 Jan

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a PIL on 15 Jan’22 seeking a direction to the CBI to probe the alleged duty evasion by some firms in exporting iron ore pellets to China since 2015. While responding to a couple of PILs last year, the Centre had responded to the apex court that trade in pellets is free and lies outside the purview of regulation.
