The Supreme Court on 30 Mar’22 asked the government to clarify its stand on exports of iron ore (including pellets) from Karnataka, which was banned in 2012, with the aim to provide relief to the stressed mining industry by paving the way for sales of unsold stocks of iron ore available in the state.
