An Indian mill has concluded an export tender for 20,000 t of steel billets (125mm, 4SP), sources informed SteelMint. The deal was concluded at around $600/t FOB. Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry recently revoked the 25% and 16% safeguard duties on imports of rebar and billet, respectively, which is likely to boost imports of steel billet by Egypt.
