Pellet-based sponge iron, P-DRI, prices in Karnataka’s Bellary rose by INR 300/t on 28 Jan’22, whereas iron ore-based DRI (C-DRI) prices increased by INR 800/t.
- 1,000 t of P-DRI deals were confirmed at INR 33,700-33,800/t against offers at INR 34,000/t exw.
- About 620 t of C-DRI deals were reported at INR 34,400/t ($458/t) exw.
- Prices remain strong due to higher coal, pellet prices amidst sufficient orders with suppliers.
