India: Sponge iron prices rise marginally in Bellary

Sponge iron, C-DRI (FeM 80%), prices in Karnataka’s Bellary rose by INR 50/t. However, pellet-based sponge iron, P-DRI, prices continued to stay flat today.

• Around 2,400 t of P-DRI deals were confirmed at INR 28,700-28,900/t against offers at INR 29,000/t exw.
• SteelMint’s assessment for C-DRI stands at INR 30,300/t ($404/t) and around 1,500 t of deals were reported by sources.
