Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 30/t ($5/t) on 29 Nov’21. Domestic billet prices stood at RMB 4,290/t ($672/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s re-bar futures contract for May’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,145/t ($649/t), an increase of RMB 41/t ($6/t) against the closing on 26 Nov.
