Sponge PDRI (FeM 80%) prices in Karnataka’s Bellary inched up by INR 100/t, while CDRI prices continued to remain stable at INR 32,600/t exw on 7 June’22.

- About 2,900 t PDRI deals were confirmed at INR 32,000-32,200/t exw and about 3,000 t C-DRI transactions were reported at around INR 32,600/t exw.
- Sources informed that a few plants are holding sale rather than selling sponge iron at lower rates on expectations of a rebound in offers due to higher prices of coal and sufficient orders with them.
