India: Sponge iron export offers rise $2-7/t w-o-w amid modest bookings from Nepal, Bangladesh

India’s sponge iron export prices increased by $2-7/t w-o-w, supported by an uptick in domestic tags and tight availability. Export offers to Nepal increased by $2/t to $331/t CPT Raxaul. Meanwhile, offers to Bangladesh rose sharply by $7/t to $334/t CPT Benapole. Moderate buying was recorded from both Nepal and Bangladesh throughout the week, with approximately 9,000 t traded at varying prices.
