Sponge iron export offers witnessed a marginal decline this week due to weak demand and fluctuations in the domestic Indian market. Another factor for this marginal decline was global economic uncertainties. Limited buying activity was observed, with export prices falling to $345/t CPT Raxaul and $361/t CPT Benapole. Approximately 5,000 t of sponge iron deals were tracked for Nepal and Bangladesh.
