India: South African RB3 coal booked at INR 14,500/t at Paradip Port

In a confirmed deal, 4,000 t of South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was booked at INR 14,500/t at Paradip Port. Sponge iron manufacturers continue to blend South African-origin coal with that of Russian and Australian. DRI producers are making small-parcel import bookings as the blending ratio of RB3 and other origin coal is 30:70, market participants informed.
