India: South African RB2 sold at INR 17,800/t at Ennore Port

In a confirmed deal, 5,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was booked at INR 17,800/t at Ennore Port, while another deal of 2,500 t of low-CV RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) was booked at INR 16,600/t at Krishnapatnam Port. RB3 grade prices in Haldia are at INR 16,400/t. Sponge iron manufacturers continue to make small parcel bookings of imported coal to keep operations active, market participants informed.
