As per CoalMint reports, a deal for 15,000 t of South African RB2 (5,500 NAR) grade coal was concluded at INR 8,600/t ex-Krishnapatnam today for Aug’21 delivery. The material was sold at a higher price as market participants expect portside coal prices to rise further in August. Current offers at Gangavaram and Vizag ports are firm at INR 8,400/t. Sellers expect portside prices to stay firm amid maintenance work at South Africa’s Transnet rail network between 13 and 19 July.
