After remaining unchanged for almost two weeks, portside prices of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal have increased in the range of INR 200-600/t w-o-w. In two separate deals, about 15,000 t of RB2 coal was sold at INR 8,700/t ex-Vizag to a customer based in south India. About 30,000 t of RB2 was sold to a Raipur buyer as part of another deal at INR 8,300/t ex-Gangavaram. RB2 coal offers by mid-sized importers were raised further to INR 8,400-8,500/t today. However, direct importers are offering at INR 8,800/t ex-Gangavaram and ex-Vizag. Prices are exclusive of cess and GST.
