Varied portside offers for South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal were heard today at INR 21,500/t-22,500/t at Gangavaram and Vizag Ports, while no deal was concluded. In a confirmed deal, 8,000 tonnes (t) of South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) coal was sold at INR 17,500/t at Gopalpur Port. Bids from sponge iron manufacturers remained few and far between as they adopted a wait-and-watch approach.
