CoalMint has confirmed that a deal for 5,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was concluded at INR 9,300/t ex-Gangavaram, up against the last-traded price of INR 8,900/t. In another confirmed deal, 3,000 t was sold at INR 9,800/t ex-Krishnapatnam. Portside trades of South African coal have gained momentum since last week amid demand revival among sponge iron producers, reduced portside stocks and lower number of vessel arrivals from South Africa.
