India’s import offers for South African iron ore lumps (Fe 64%) increased by $7/t w-o-w to $119/t CNF Kandla on 23 Jul’25. However, inquiries slowed, as the hike prompted mills to seek alternative raw materials. Notably, the sharp rise was fuelled by an increase in global iron ore prices. Chinese spot iron ore fines prices rose $7/t w-o-w to $105/t CFR on 22 Jul.
