India: Sellers hold portside offers for South African coal

With the $6/t d-o-d drop in RB1 (6000 NAR) grade coal prices to $175/t on FOB basis on 28 Jan’22, Indian sellers were heard holding portside offers for South African coal today. RB2 (5500 NAR) coal offers were heard at INR 15,500/t at Gangavaram Port and at INR 15,200/t at Mangalore. Following Indonesia’s removal of the coal export ban, thermal coal prices of other origins started sliding since the end of last week.
