Melting scrap prices witnessed minor fluctuations on 31 Jan’22. Prices remained supported in the western and central regions of the country, while in the northern region prices inched down due to declining semi-finished steel prices amid adequate scrap supply. Prices in the near term are expected to witness a minor correction due to slow finished steel sales, trader sources informed.
