The average price of domestic scrap LPG cylinder in auctions held this week was INR 38,000-38,500/t exw. Prices remained moderate amid shortage of scrap. IOCL and HPCL regularly recycle scrap obtained from damaged gas cylinders. This scrap is cut and shredded by recycling plants and sold to furnaces for melting.
