SAIL will conduct an auction for 500 t of steel grade pig iron (by road) on 22 Sep’21 from IISCO Steel Plant. Limited allocation for auctions by SAIL is due to low realisation as against semis and finished steel products. At the previous auction on 9 Sep, the entire quantity of 500 t had been booked at INR 37,000/t exw – down INR 125/t compared to 1 Sep.
