Steel major SAIL has scheduled an auction for 8,000 t of prime steel grade pig iron from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh on 14 Sept’21. At the previous auction on 3 Sept, 8,000 t of pig iron was booked at a weighted average price of INR 37,620/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices decreased by INR 980/t ($13) compared to the previous auction on 23 Aug, which had been concluded at a weighted average price of INR 38,510/t exw.
