Steel major SAIL has scheduled an auction for 4,000 t (two rakes) of basic grade pig iron on 23 Jun’21. The previous auction held on 16 Jun had commenced with the price set as per the last auction but was unable to attract buyers. The auction closed without any result. In the auction conducted by SAIL on 9 Jun, buyers had booked three rakes out of four on offer totalling 6,850 t of pig iron at INR 37,500/t, exw.
