SAIL-Salem Steel Plant (SSP) had floated a purchase tender for 1,200 t of high-carbon (HC) ferro chrome (Cr: 57-63%, C: 5-8%, 10-70 mm). At the reverse auction concluded on 22 Oct’25, the entire quantity was booked at around INR 130,400/t ($1,486/t) FOR, excluding GST. As per BigMint’s assessment on 24 Oct’25, ferro chrome (HC 60%, 10-150 mm) prices stood at INR 120,400/t ($1,373/t) exw-Jajpur.
