SAIL’s flagship Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) held an auction for 7,500 t of pooled iron scrap (recovery rate 78% to 83%) on 21 Dec’21. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 33,900/t. Two lots comprising 500 t of pig casting machine (PCM) scrap was booked at INR 33,250/t exw.
