SAIL has invited two different tenders and an EOI for appointment of Conversion Agents for conversion of slabs into HR Coils & narrow HR Coils and for conversion of PM Plates into Pipes respectively.
India’s leading steel making company, SAIL manufactures and sells a broad range of Steel products including HRC, CRC, galvanised sheets, rail products, stainless Steel and other alloy Steels. The company is looking towards the expansion plan for its five integrated steel plants to achieve its highest saleable production.
Expression of Interest (EoI) for Conversion of PM Plates into Pipes
The company has invites an EoI for conversion of Plate Mill Plates (PM plates) into Pipes. Conversion arrangement is required in & around Kolkata for converting PM Plates (12-25 mm) into MS Pipes (500 –3600 NB conforming to IS 3589 Fe 410/Fe 450) and other grades. Initially, about 20,000 MT PM Plates has to be converted within 12 months from the date of EoI. Last date for submission of EoI will be 13 Feb, 2015 at 15.00 hrs.
Tenders for appointment of conversion agents for conversion of slabs into HR Coils and conversion of slabs into narrow HR Coils
Rourkela Steel plant (RSP), a unit of SAIL, has invited two different tenders for appointment of conversion agents for conversion of slabs into HR Coils and into narrow HR Coils respectively.
RSP has intended to convert surplus steel slabs; about 10,000 MT per month into HR Coils and about 10,000 MT per month slabs into narrow HR Coils (<=500 mm), as per requirement for a period of one year. Scope of work will include collection of input materials from Public Booking Point (direct dispatch from Plant to the nearest Public Railway Siding) and converting slabs into HR Coils, arranging for loading & dispatch of finished product to warehouse of SAIL.
Note: Surplus Steel slabs will be provided by RSP.
Eligibility Criteria
- Tenderer should posses valid BIS license for manufacturing of HR Coils
- Tenderers should possess requisite manufacturing facilities to produce finished products in terms of overall quality and technical delivery conditions (TDC).They should possess requisite facilities for ultrasonic testing, temp-controlled rolling, impact testing, as per required TDC of finished product
- Conversion agent should offer full tender quantity of 10,000 MT HR Coils per month, otherwise their offer shall not be accepted
